The Scienceware® Touch Free™ Automatic Waste Can opens and closes automatically, protecting users from contact with the waste receptacle or its contents when disposing of waste of any kind-biological/biohazard materials, paper trash, or recyclables.

When a hand or solid object is moved over the top, the Scienceware® Touch Free™ Automatic Waste Can detects the motion and opens the lid to accept waste. It then closes automatically. The lid drops into a fitted well that helps to reduce odor and airborne contamination. Durable and dependable, four (4) D-batteries (not included) will provide approximately 4,000 openings. An on-off switch deactivates the auto-open/close function.

Available in three slim, modem designs: (A) White 2.5 gallon; (B) Gray 7.3 gallon with gray top and (C) Stainless steel 12 with black top. The 2.5 gallon model is perfect for benchtop use and includes a removable rigid liner that won't leak or rust. Body and lid are molded of easy to clean ABS plastic, the removable pail is molded of autoclavable polypropylene. Scienceware® 14 x 19" biohazard disposal bags or suitable size standard trash bags should be used as liners for a 2.5 gallon model. The 7.3 and 12 gallon models have a small footprint and fit into tight spaces. The 7.3 gallon model has a stainless steel pail and ABS plastic top. The 12 gallon model has a stainless steel pail and ABS plastic top. Each should be lined with Scienceware® bag liners or biohazard disposal bags measuring 24 x 30, 24 x 36 or 25 x 35". Standard, commercially available trash bags can also be used for disposing of paper trash or recycables.

Each unit is supplied with a, bright-colored Biohazard label and 3 other labels for Recyclables, Trash and a blank label for individual applications.

Waste Disposal is As Easy As 1 - 2 - 3 !

1. Turn the power switch ON.
2. Wave your hand over the sensor on the front of the waste can lid.
3. When the lid automatically opens, dispose of your waste, and the lid
   automatically closes.
