Type 316 Stainless Steel Full Hard, TIG Welded and Drawn tubing is a hard-tempered, small-bore tubing used to make spacers, needles, guide wire assemblies, cannulas, capillary Tubing etc. and is widely applied in the medical, mechanical, electronic, chemical and aeronautical fields. Commonly called seamless because of its cosmetic appearance. Our Stainless Steel 316 Hypodermic Tubing is molybdenum bearing austenitic steel containing a higher percentage of nickel and a smaller percentage of chromium compared to 304. The higher corrosion resistance of 316 Stainless vs. 304 Stainless is particularly useful when working with phosphoric and acetic acids.
